Building better, Faster, together.
The construction industry is continually evolving with new technologies, techniques, and materials. Network Interiors has built its success over three decades by always learning and embracing change.
When prefabrication began as an emerging trend, we quickly recognized off-site manufacturing as an opportunity to compress schedule time and build high-quality projects more efficiently. In 2018, Network Interiors owner, Melissa Sheffy, founded Network Framing Solutions as a sister company to produce prefab components and assemblies. Together the Network team offers builders a collaborative end-to-end system.
Our highly trained crews can erect frames and panelize structures quickly and easily in less time than traditional construction methods. Custom prefabricated assemblies enable installations to go smoothly with no chop saws or hot work permits required.

“When we started working in Connecticut, we didn't necessarily know which subcontractors would be great partners, let alone which were actually capable of performing our work. Through several challenging projects with many revisions and tight timelines, Network Interiors has never let us down. Across the board, Network Interiors has exceeded expectations with their ability to communicate, plan, and even adapt to help solve problems they did not cause. Needless to say, Network Interiors was not only capable, but proved to be a great partner. We enjoyed out past with them, and look forward to our future together. ”
President, RC Andersen
“The Network team saved several weeks on our project schedule by delivering prefabricated partitions for both the interior and exterior of the structure. This substantially reduced the man-hours required for installation on site. As the owner’s project manager, I am always pleased when new and innovative technology speeds up projects and provides savings of cost and time to my clients.”
Senior Associate AIA, Vice President, STV | DPM
“Network is a leader in the future of construction. As partners in the building process, they offer creative solutions in pre-planning to compress project schedules and prove the value of building with light gauge prefabrication. Thanks to Network, we utilized computer systems to minimize the number of workers needed on-site, which was critical to keep building during the pandemic. I look forward to working with Network again on future projects.”
Senior Superintendent | CE Floyd
“I recently had a quick catch up with our office and reminded them that we get what we pay for, and that all we need to do is reference Network as the perfect example; your team provides an entirely different project experience. I’m hopeful that your team’s performance on this, far from perfect or easy project, will secure many projects for your team in the future; I know I’ll be pushing for you guys on my projects.”

🌟 Women in Construction Week, with Diane 🌟
What started by chance became a career I value. I’m grateful for all the mentors — male and female — I’ve had over the years. Their guidance, insight, and support have been invaluable in helping me navigate the industry and advance in my career.
I’m proud of my career path and the chance to see the industry from so many angles. I started as a Marketing Coordinator for a CM/GC, learning how projects come together in the field. From there, I became Director of Marketing at a 100‑year‑old architectural firm, leading strategy across six offices — an incredible experience. Eventually, I returned to construction in a sales role, combining my marketing background with my understanding of design. Working in both construction and architecture has given me a well‑rounded perspective, and it shapes how I approach relationships and projects today.
One of the greatest benefits of working in construction is the people. You build relationships within the A/E/C industry, but you can also work closely with clients across a wide range of markets. Each project brings a new team, challenges, and perspectives. The relationships developed are incredibly rewarding, both professionally and personally.
For me, being a woman in construction means contributing to an industry built on collaboration, endurance, and results. While it has traditionally been male-dominated, I’ve found it to be a field where credibility is earned through knowledge, work ethic, and relationships — qualities that are not defined by gender. I have absolutely seen the industry evolve. There are more women in leadership, more women on project teams, and a stronger emphasis on inclusion and mentorship. I’m proud to work for a women-owned company, where leadership and vision demonstrate firsthand the impact women can have at the highest levels of the industry.
My advice would be to step into the industry with confidence and curiosity. Construction offers many paths — from field operations to design, marketing, project management, and executive leadership. Be open to learning, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to take on new challenges. ... See MoreSee Less

🌟 Women in Construction Week Spotlight with Audra 🌟
My path into construction wasn’t traditional. I earned my accounting degree later in life, and my first job was with a small company where one owner ran three interconnected businesses: a piping/plumbing subcontractor, a sheet‑metal fabrication shop, and an HVAC service company. I didn’t set out to enter construction, but chance brought me here… and I’m grateful that it did.
As an avid puzzler, I love anything that involves balancing pieces and solving problems, and that’s exactly what accounting in construction allows me to do. I get to troubleshoot, collaborate, improve processes, and ultimately help strengthen the financial side of our work. There’s real satisfaction in finding efficiencies and contributing to a company’s success behind the scenes. While accounting always comes with deadlines, I appreciate not being in the public sector and navigating “tax season.” Instead, I get to focus on meaningful work, year‑round, that supports the teams building our projects.
And even though I’m not in the field, it’s inspiring to see more and more women entering every aspect of construction. The industry is growing, diversifying, and opening doors that didn’t exist before.
My advice to women pursuing construction: Be confident in yourself and your abilities. Be willing to grow, adapt, and learn.
Focus on doing excellent work—not on the idea that you’re a woman in the industry. Whether you work for a company or run one, the goal is the same: show what you’re capable of. When you do, good things follow.
Here’s to all the women making an impact in every corner of construction, field, office, and everything in between. 🏗️💼✨
